22. Bahía Coyote (Bahía Concepción)

The Coyote Bay is a huge cove with a lot of different beaches, cliffs, mangroves, small villages and a lot of holiday or winter apartments of US or Canadian citizens. It is located a few miles inside Bahía Concepción and can also be reached easily by road as Mexican Highway 1 passes by.

Next to doing some dinghy and snorkeling exploration tours to the estuaries and mangroves I snorkeled in the reefs of the bays and Brian and I went for some hikes along the beaches Santa Barbara and El Burro (The Donkey).

Playa Santispac, La Escondida, El Coco, El Burro, Coyote and Santa Barbara: From the north to the south all this beaches can be visited, furthermore there are seven islands within Bahía Coyote: Isla San Ramon, Pitahaya, Liebre, Blanca, Coyote (Bargo), Guapa and Tecomate. Within some of the bays also hot water springs can be found.
