As I didn't make it to visit the lagoon near Tembabichi when we anchored there I had to walk around two miles from Puerto Los Gatos through the desert along the sea to explore it. This hike was definitely stunningly impressive and worth every step.
The lagoon was a fascinating place to view and a good destination, but actually the way was the purpose. It was an unforgettable experience to trudge through the desert for several hours in burning sunshine. Seeing a lot of different kind of cacti and other plants that survive this extreme climate, stepping over sand, stones and shells.
