11. Punta San Telmo / Punta Prieta
As Puerto Los Gatos also Punta San Telmo (or Punta Prieta) offers a variety of red rock formations and lies just 1.5 miles north of the first mentionend. We anchored south of Punta San Telmo in the bay which offers a lot of anchor opportunities.
Like almost every anchorage spot along this cost, also Punta Prieta is home to beautiful coral reefs and offers dreamlike snorkeling options.
While Barry and I were exploring the area by land and sea, Brian used one of the red rocks as a workbench to open a lot of scallops we found earlier on our journey. Fried in garlic and butter these should become a wonderful culinary experience.
